The wedding

Sixty rupees, a borrowed Ambassador, and both sets of parents unconvinced.
The children

A two-room house in Saraswathipuram and a great deal of patience.
Retirement
2010
Went back to teaching, unpaid, at the school down the road.
Fifty years

Four grandchildren, one very old dog, and the same two chairs on the veranda.
